VOLUME 3, NUMBER 1, JANUARY 2003
A new year? Whoops. I missed December 2002. Sorry. I will try to do better in 2003.
The book is now available from AWOC.com for only $3.00 per download. That reminds me. You should check in on AWOC's new bookstore. Magnificent work! Sometimes I am a little jealous of Dan Case and all you other people who know what you are doing on the computer. A bound copy of the book will be available from AWOC probably in March or so. A bit more money than the $3.00 download, of course, but much handier to read, in my opinion. (Which is an antidiluvian belief, I suppose all you computer whizzes are saying.)
The contest for naming the date upon which I will finish CONFESSING FOR MONEY is still on and up for grabs again. Those of you who have guessed may want to revise your guesses. I'm talking to Annie Imburgin, JoEtta Street, Jackie McMahon, Jackie King, Vickie McDonough and Carolyn Leonard. Are you just sick of this? Well, I am too. You may want to revise and those who have not yet sent in a guess can still do so. Guesses closest to the actual finish time on the book manuscript will be sent a free copy of SALLY. Inborn laziness and family tragedies have combined to keep me from my place in front of the computer. But I'm going to do the thing now. I promise. (why do those words have a repetitive ring in my brain?)
My sister-in-law, Betty, is always ladylike and genteel in her speech. I'm the smart mouth in the Moss family, I'd say. I am a thrifty smart alec and do not make long distance calls unless forced by circumstances to do so. Here is the scenario using no names because to do so would make me too sad again. Mid December - Betty, I just called to tell you that (beloved uncle) is in the ICU Heart section at St. Francis.
I had to laugh...I needed that. Thanks Betty. I guess she does have a sense of humor, after all.
My free class for people who want to write romance novels is going very well. I'm sure that at least one of the participants is on the verge of publication of her book and two others are close behind with really good books which they are ready to submit. Any of my subscribers who want to come to the monthly workshop/clsss, are invited to do so, FREE. Male or female would be fine. The only requirement for enrollment is that enrollees be members of Tulsa NightWriters. We hold the class at my house and we're getting into how to promote your newly published book. Such fun. No end or start dates. You may enroll at anytime. We are complete beginners to published full time writers and we all seem to get along very well. Bring money or checkbook for your dues if you decide to join us.
Maybe I'll do better in 2003. I'm sort of expecting a bit of a legacy from my ex. That will surely make life easier for me. Susan Atherton is the lawyer who is helping me with this. Old NORA members will recognize that name. (Susan is a romance writer) I'll let you know if I become an heiress. I hope by next month. Love Peggy | ||
